Properties Massage improves the quality of life of cancer patients

Properties Massage improves the quality of life of cancer patientsIn addition to developing the disease itself, we know that the cancer patients are twice as difficult. Facing cancer is not just face the fact of having a potentially terminal, but also a lot of symptoms that it makes us suffer in our bodies, which may constitute a significant obstacle to recovery from illness.

The more you reduce the symptoms of cancer, the more likely we are to overcome the disease, and improve our quality of life. But how to get rid of them? Apparently the massage has the answer to this question .

According to a study presented at the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia Annual Scientific Meeting in Melbourne, which was conducted by Dr. David Joske, which evaluated the quality of life of 1,244 cancer patients, who conducted massage sessions to reduce the symptoms of the disease.

Joske noted that a reduction of 14% of symptoms was experienced by cancer patients in the study, including some such as fatigue, pain, breathing difficulties, lack of appetite, nausea and insomnia.

Although researchers have not entirely clear whether this was due to a placebo effect, the truth is that it really happened this way, recognizing that massage may play an important role in order to develop natural cancer treatments .

In fact, after receiving massage therapy patients also experienced a reduction in symptoms using conventional therapies, so that massage could work both ways.

It oxygenates your body and prevents cancer

It oxygenates your body and prevents cancerCancer is a disease “modern” because now there have been more cases than in the past and the number seems to be increasing. An investigation has shown that lack of oxygen can turn healthy cells into cancer cells .

According to research carried out by the German biochemist Dr. Otto Warburg, who received the Nobel Prize for his research, the cause of cancer is based on the lack of oxygen in the cells. In a normal situation, a cell devoid of oxygen die. But sometimes these cells are able to survive by changing its internal structure and becoming cancer cells .

But how is that cells are deprived of oxygen? Well, blood is what carries oxygen to the body and also has a feature, is basically alkaline (opposite of acid) when the blood has an excess of acidity is deposited somewhere in the body, changing the normally alkaline environment cells by a more acidic. Normally, cells would die in such an environment, and indeed it does, however, some cells survive and develop into cancer. An acidic environment deprives cells of needed oxygen, so we can see a relationship between diet and oxygenation.

The most common therapy against cancer chemotherapy is to kill them. But doing so also killed many healthy cells. Dr. Warburg suggested that cancer could be treated oxygenating the cells and also looking for a way to remove cancerous environment acidity.

All this makes me reflect on our current lifestyle. Something I’ve noticed is that bad breath in a hectic and messy. I also realized that to a stressful situation or threat often hold our breath for a moment, depriving your body of valuable oxygen. On the other hand, is based eating too much canned meats and sausages (which chemicals are added to avoid rust is to isolate the oxygen from the environment causing oxidation) can foster an environment too acidic for the body.

I think this research allows us to see that our habits have a huge impact on our body. Learning to breathe better and eating more healthily certainly will reduce the possibility of getting sick. However, we must not fall into the other end. A vegetarian diet may be thought of as ideal to avoid heartburn. However, the excess alkalinity is also dangerous, because this is not a natural environment for the body. So the best thing is the balance, always remembering that our bodies are better designed for a carnivorous vegetarian diet.

How to silence the bad genes

how to silence the bad genesAn article published this week reveals how researchers at Caltech have managed to “turn off” genes that force cancer cells to grow uncontrollably. This is the first time in humans is achieved using an RNAi therapy. As explained in immortal and perfect (p95, p217), the RNAi is small RNA able to specifically block the function of a gene. Are widely used in the laboratory but so far not been proven effective as therapy.

Lung cancer chemotherapy

lung cancer chemotherapy canbe treated withoutLung cancer occurs when there is an unusual growth of cells in the lung tissue growth, usually malignant, metastasis and proliferation may lead to other body tissues. This type of cancer is divided by the size and appearance of cells: small cell lung cancer and small cell.

The most common symptoms are usually shortness of breath, cough, including coughing up blood, weight loss, chest pain, hoarseness and swelling in the neck and face, among others.

Chemotherapy as a Lung Cancer Treatment

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is the primary treatment option in most cases of SCLC. It can easily control the symptoms, which are often very pronounced in this type of cancer. However, the cures are rare and most often accrue past year or two.

Not all patients can be operated on as it will depend on whether they have sufficient capacity to withstand respiratory excision of part or all of the lung and how is your general condition.

In lung cancer, often used a combination of chemotherapeutic drugs. Some of these drugs can be given by mouth or by vein. When they reach the bloodstream, these drugs are spread throughout the body and act against cancer cells, destroying them. For this reason it is very useful in those cancers that have spread to other areas.

Chemotherapy can be given as primary treatment or as therapy to aid surgery. In many cases, chemotherapy is given before surgery, with the intention of reducing the tumor volume and pave the way for a surgeon. Even at times, some inoperable lung cancers become operable after several months of chemotherapy. It is also possible to receive chemotherapy after surgery, even when the entire tumor was removed successfully. The reason is that with this strategy avoids a percentage of relapse and end up healing more long-term patients. We know this kind of cancer treatment as adjuvant chemotherapy.

The choice of treatment of first or second line depends on the type of cancer, and ranges from non-small cell cancer or small cell.
