The symptoms of lung cancer does not usually appear in the early stages of lung cancer but arise when it has already spread too much to increase the chance of cure. Among the most common symptoms are:

- Persistent cough.
- Chest pain that increases with breathing.
- Loss of weight and appetite.
- Shortness of breath.
- Wheezing or whistling.
- Spitting up blood or redness (mucus).
