Main Factors and Treatment of Lung Cancer

Smoking increases from 10 to 25 times the risk of being diagnosed with lung cancer. This is by far the main risk factor.
Other factors may also play a role, such as:
* Secondhand smoke;
* Exposure to carcinogens (asbestos, radon, gasoline fumes, etc.).
